Welcome From the Camp Director

Pinecrest Pavilion Named Best Summer Camp each consecutive year

since 2017 in Northern Virginia Magazine

Dear New and Returning Camp Families,
My name is Kristen Aumann, (Or Ms. A. as the preschool class at Pinecrest calls me!) and I am honored and thrilled to introduce myself as the new coordinator of Pinecrest Summer Camp.  I can’t express enough how excited I am to be a small part of creating lifelong memories for your camper! I look forward to getting to know each of you—whether you’re a returning family or a new camper. Our camp community includes rising kindergartners through sixth graders from not only Pinecrest School but also other local schools. We also have a preschool camp program for children who are potty-trained and age 4 by September 30.

Ms. A (Camp Coordinator) with students!
Here at Pinecrest we believe that summer is a time for FUN and I am hopeful for one of the most fun summers yet! This summer camp will be full of adventure and fun, but also personal growth, teamwork, and building connections and our Pinecrest community. Whether your child is interested in sports, arts, outdoor exploration, or leadership development, we are dedicated to providing a well-rounded experience for every camper.
As we prepare for another fun-filled summer, I want to reassure you that my primary goal is to create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment where every camper can have a memorable and rewarding experience. I am committed to upholding the values and traditions that have made Pinecrest so special, while also bringing new ideas to our programs.

I encourage you to spend time in the summer camp section of our website to learn more about this year’s camp program, check out our Facebook album of photos from last summer or contact us to learn more about our summer camp programs! I believe communication is key, and I want you to know that my door (or inbox!) is always open. If you ever have any questions, suggestions, or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I believe that working together as a camp community is essential for creating the best possible experience for our campers.
I’m looking forward to warmer weather and watching as our campers grow, learn, and make lifelong memories this summer. Here’s to a fun summer ahead!
We would love to have your child be a part of our camp community.
In Community,
Kristen Aumann
