UPDATE 1.13.23

Dear Pinecrest Community,

 

With the new year in full swing, our search for Pinecrest’s next Head of School continues to move forward in earnest. Following the break, the Search Committee convened for anti-bias and interview training in preparation for the next steps in our search process. Last evening we met and reviewed dossiers from a robust pool of impressive candidates. Applicant materials include a cover letter, a CV, a statement of educational leadership philosophy, and references, many of whom we have spoken with. The committee selected eight candidates as semi-finalists for virtual one-hour interviews, which are scheduled for late next week.

 

As you may recall, the process remains confidential until our finalists have been selected. At that time, finalist candidates will each make a 2-day visit to campus and meet with all our stakeholders—faculty, staff, parents, students, and board members. There will be forums to hear from the candidates and provide feedback directly to the Search Committee. At this time, these visits are scheduled for February 1-2, February 6-7, and February 8-9. More details on the visit schedules and opportunities to meet the candidates will be provided soon.
